Had it once as a teenager, girlfriends mother spotted it, grabbed my arm, scrubbed it raw with the green side of sponge, then soaked the soft side in lysol and tied it to my arm for awhile... Burned like hell for a bit, but was gone shortly after...

Apparently effective, but not for the weak minded...
