Oh boy, that is a good question, this setup is at the top of my mind since I had to explain to someone the other day. I would say no on the implement receiver because the tx to rx loop is what tells the receiver it is an implement receiver, which then makes it function correctly with the display. If not, it yells at you saying there are two machine receivers connected.

Is there a reason why you couldn't get the NEMA data off the machine receiver? Then use an offset for what you are trying to record/control?

The round 4-pin connector is for an ethernet connection, but is of no use for any application right now.
