A while back I read kind of the chain of events where it was decided "gain of function" was not a wise thing to do so they shut it down. So a very prominent individual had his hand in getting it to China where there were not so many rules and regulations to follow. And now we get the benefit of living it while the "hero" that is supposedly the expert saving us had a big hand in its creation.
What was it one of the German officers said? Something like if you are going to lie, make it a big enough lie people can not believe it could be a lie.
