Like others have said, there's a lot that goes into the individual dairy farmers profitability. Some parts of the country going from +$1 - $2/cwt. to Class III versus now seeing negative PPP's of $5 - $7 or more. Some under quota systems or bought up quotas. Hauling costs changing, type of plant being delivered to (powder, cheese, etc.). Not to mention the feed input side of the business, heifer raising costs, etc.

Anyone know how things are going in the SW part of the country? Are dairies still moving out? Curious the impacts that's having on pay prices for plants maybe looking for milk.
