SE SD
My first year doing wheat last year. Chopped in June at full head . Turned out 15 protein and 97 feed value. I backgrounded calves for 60 days on it and am feeding everything else now. Mixed with ground hay and rolled corn. Corn silage is king but this wheat was thin and insurance guy cut me a check and got too headed out to make dry hay so this was my best option. I bagged it and it ended up real nice.
