SW Nebraska | There's more reasons to tag than just simply pairing up. From a tag I know which bull the calf is sired from as well a the cow (obviously) after it's weaned. If I didn't have tags how would I know which bulls were making better replacement heifers or better feeder steers? Same for evaluating cows. Keeps from inbreeding replacements to their sires so on and so forth. Just because someone doesn't do something the way you do means they're "a poor excuse for a cattleman". | |
