Central iowa | It's been skyrocketing for years. You now just pay the majority of your electric bill through your income tax bill as all the power companies are subsidized. I remember watching a floor debate probably 20 years ago on cspan. Swamp members were arguing electric rates would triple in 3 years going away from coal. They did just now the middle class pays the bill with fed taxes. These windmills that dont make enough juice to cover their maintenance would raise your bills so high everyone would know if they were paid off your monthly bill. And before you greenies start rebutting the truth on the windmills the spokesman for mid American energy said it on a Des Moines radio station a couple years ago. | |
