NorthWest Mississippi | A few around here try it.Big demand. Most buyers want it delivered and stacked. If I could sell straight out of field, maybe.I DC beans behind wheat and really do not want the balers slowing my planting process down.Lots of investment in baling and handling machinery and mostly manpower to get it out of the way of the bean planter. If you store it (gotta have a big barn)for future delivery you have to handle it several times.Labor becomes an issue even with automated machinery.Bale it,load it,carry to barn, unload it,stack it.Sell it,go to barn and reload it,deliver it,restack it.It just not work for me.I can think of cheaper, more fun hobbies. | |
