30 years ago $0.50 picked up outta the field.
Today it’s $5-$8 for small squares.
Have a neighbor that plants wheat basically for the straw. He’s got a deal with a couple local construction companies and supplies them all year. I think he charges them around $5/bale. Grain plus straw makes for a nice pay day on thin ground.
Anyone knowledgeable on wheat straw?
