Redwood Falls, MN | I'm doing exactly what you're thinking about and have had good success. I have JD Single disk openers on my toolbar that is behind my Flexicoil 2340 fertilizer cart. I wish I could place the dry fert deeper than the openers will go but it has worked well so far. I also strip till and am converting more of my corn acres to the no-till/banded system. I make my pass in the fall and then plant right on it in the spring and put on 3 gal of starter and about 10 gal/ac of 32%/ATS blend 0x2 with the planter.
