Subject: Beans in rows vs Drilled in dry growing season

South Central North Dakota
I am wondering if soybeans will do better in rows with a planter than drilled if we have moisture stressed growing season this year? It would seem having a lower population would help mitigate some moisture stress. Anyone from central/west Nebraska or Kansas have an observations?
Thanks.
