Subject: RE: Beans in rows vs Drilled in dry growing season

Waldron, MI
I had some 30" vs 15" beans last year and we got pretty dry from the end of June through August. I think the 30" rows cost me about 5-6 bushels per acre. The 30" were planted first, the 24th of April so they had plenty of time. My theory is that the beans in 30" couldn't get to the moisture in the center of the rows and the 15" were able of use more of the available soil moisture.
