Ive used QuickBook Pro since the mid '90s. At one time was running 4 businesses on it. If you can balance a check book you shouldn't have any problems. You can make forb"Chart of Account" as simple or complicated as you want. Ie; I started out with "Grain Sold", over the years have edited to have sub accounts for the different types of grains I raise. When I print off a report it will show income for each type sold plus a total for all grains sold., I've set my "Chart of Accounts" to follow my Fed Sched F.

Use to do payroll on my QB but several years they started charging an annual fee for payroll services. Was $200/yr, not sure what it is now. My accountant uses QB payroll for several of her clients. Now I send my payroll to her, she calculates it on her computer, then sends printout showing everything & I enter those figures into my payroll manually. Her service fee is part of my tax prep service.
