before i buy QuickBooks, is there something better?

Subject: No employees? Excel is about as easy and cheap as it gets


4 columns for expense.

Vendor/description. Date. $$$$. Line it falls on schedule F

3 for income.

For grain it’s excel as well. Two sheets.

One is graincart weights capturing date field and bin

Second sheet is grain shipped. It’s a rolling sheet that incorporates Carry over plus new bushels against shipments with columns to capture date bushels and payment year.

Simple but it works

When I do taxes I take computer with and sort as info is needed to fill in the blanks.
