Subject: RE: perfect filtration of liquid fertilizer on a planter

SW Illinois
Take a look at SureFire Ag’s metering tubes. They replace the orifices and allow you to run much larger strainer without plugging issues. We have strainers on our tender trailer to help, but this year we planted over 2,000 acres of corn without ever needing to clean the strainer on the planter. They were part of the 2x2x2 setup we put on the planter last winter. We liked them so much, we replaced the orifices on the in-furrow system with metering tubes late in the season. They’re not expensive, either. We did 16 rows for about $100.
