Subject: Break even on a bred heifer

AB.
Lot of heifer groups selling in the $2400-$2600 range with some getting over $3000. Avg price of calves was around $1100 per calf this fall. If I buy a $2500 bred heifer today and she weans a calf each and every year, when does she break even? Including her own value in the slaughter market say $900-$1000

Everyones feed variables, location and breeding costs are different, Just wondering what everyones thought s are on this.

I guess I don't see added value in spending over $3000 on a bred heifer, but some obviously do.
