Probably half the corn acreage around here and nearly every rice field is burned off every year and the ground is immediately bedded back up for seedbed and prep for furrow irrigation,been that way for years and years,highly competitive area and yields have climbed and climbed here like they do everywhere else.lot of those fields have cover crop planted on them as soon as the beds are back up.
