Southern Missouri | Most of the time some type of rotation, there’s everything grown here so could be cotton, beans ,corn on corn, rice, peanuts, used to be wheat thrown in there but not much of that anymore, beds are always a little better looking behind the burn vs no burn,220 to 250 corn and heavy rice stubble burnt leaves a lot of good looking black ash that Is immediately covered by the new bed ,then cover crop thrown over top of new bed, looks that way right outside my office window now, cereal rye and radishes about two inches tall behind burnt corn on fresh beds.we’ll burn down ahead of beans ,tickle the top of bed lightly with bed conditioner ,plant beans ,lay the tubing and start the irrigation soon as first sign of dryness shows up. | |
