| I think any of your suggestions will be just fine. To put things into perspective I took your 300 feet of 5" to the fence and assumed that it was only on a tenth of a percent grade (quite flat) and that it was drawing from 100 feet (quite wide). In order to get between 3/8 and 1/2 drainage coefficient, that 5" would only have to run at 10 percent capacity. Your dollar size opening would almost be that. The problem with the old clay is that it may not be on grade and that opening may be closed off farther down the line. | |
