NW IL | If the corn can outgrow it... I've thought about doing a similar thing, but when I look at the corn that's planted about the time we are doing 1st cutting (early-mid may) and then second cutting alfalfa about 30 days later, the alfalfa is at least as tall as our corn, so the corn would have some serious competition the first 30-45 days. It seems like corn doesn't start pushing height until it is at least 1 month old. | |
