Nc Ks. | Better start this fall because my experience over the years is it is hard too get rid of. Couple years ago I first disked, then field cultivated twice a field late summer and early fall. Following spring I field cultivated and planted forage oats. Couldn't believe at swathing that I had as much alfalfa as oats. Field I did last fall i did two passes with chisel with sweeps on it, then a couple passes with field cultivator before planting this spring. Had gotten most of it.
