| I’ve always believed that if a cows patty was sorta flat you were good on protein. Seems protein supplement is why most guys says they are caking cows. I don’t cake besides enough to keep them trained to come to it or a bucket of goodies. They don’t really care what’s in it. I just keep junk hay out when pasture is green and good hay when pasture is bad. Seems to work well, am I missing something or just the social hour at the feed store?
Also the ear tags, id like to be real cool and order some sweet custom ear tags. But I can’t keep any tags in anyone’s ears. I have some kinda rough country, but guys have tougher places. Everyone had a tag 3 months ago and now I’m missing 25% of the tags. Do some stay better, am I doing it wrong?, too many trees? Cows eating them or what? | |
