Subject: RE: Over twenty five years ago, I opened

Floyd County, Iowa
I had a landlord say the same thing once. We were 50/50 shares, so I asked him what he wanted me to leave for his 50%. Every other 6 rows?, every other 12?, or what?, because the stalks were not good, and I was taking my half out while it was still standing. The moisture was 17%, and it was all going to town, so there would be drying fee, but figured that before I planted it.
He decided to have me take his half out, too, and it was a good thing. 2 days later we had hard rain and winds that went up to 45 mph. A lot of corn around here went down, but ours was in the elevator, and mine at home was in the bins, so dodged a bullet. Even a blind hog finds and ear of corn once in a while.
