Subject: RE: Kansas corn question

NC.KS.
I posted this last year about the same time frame.
“High moisture” corn in North Central KS is 15%. If it goes over that, you are in for a SERIOUS dock at the elevator. I was curious as to what others did with “high moisture” corn, and was blown away.
I am not complaining....I’m just amazed at the differences in farming. I see people on agtalk say they are harvesting near 25% moisture corn. My soda nearly comes out of my nose. Around here, you’d be banned from business for a truckload of 20% moisture corn. Seriously, they MIGHT let you bring ONE load of 20%. But you’d be shot on sight for hauling in one more load.
