Ohio | My son tells a story of an old farmer riding in the custom combine with him . Old guy keeps looking at the monitor, finally asked what’s that thing do ? It’s a monitor and tells me what the field is doing . How accurate is it ? Surprisingly very accurate . Does that thing say the corn is yielding that ??? Well yes it does and this area isn’t doing as well as where we have been ! My son shows the old farmer what the monitor said had been harvested already . All of a sudden farmer gets really quiet. They get to the end of the field , the old boy wants out . Elevator closes and they fill trucks and are done for the day . Next day after the first empty truck shows up , they start picking again . In a little bit the old farmer and his wife show up in a brand new plain Jane pickup ! No bed , just a cab truck . Flat bed was part of the deal I’m sure ! My son said I never saw grins that big ! | |
