Kind of seeing the same thing in our area. There is gonna be some really really good corn in places and other places its just gonna be OK. Some of the more rolling fields look better than flat stuff. Quicker, more even emergence and took off quicker once it started to warm up. And there was plenty of moisture to support lighter soils though summer. Some of the corn was denting in late July and still isn't to black layer which is made for really long grain fill. Kernels are deep and ears are heavy. But the flat stuff suffered for too long and lost N in places. Its still good but not as good as it should have been for summer we had. But there are some flatter fields that also look exceptional. Its just been a lot of little issues that a good summer helped to maximize potential for what we had after a rough spring.
