Ridgway, IL | My county had only 5500 residents at last census. I would speculate our population will be below 4,000 at this next census.
509 people have been tested in our county
63 have lab tested positive
2 have died
55 have recovered
6 remain quarantined
Access to health care here is tough for the most vulnerable people. An hour from any significant health care facility. The health department is going to start this week taking a van around to the 7 small communities in our county and offer free testing.
Public school resumed about 2 weeks ago, I think it’s just a matter of time before someone tests positive there. They had a scare last week in the high school.
There have been clusters of outbreaks.. a church with a mostly elderly congregation. Some very low income households, etc.
