Subject: RE: studies and computer models

Thanks. This has been of interest to me ever since I started to attend the Foundation for the Study of Cycles conferences back in the late 80s. In the paper, there are several people referenced whose names were familiar to me.

As for whether she will be right or not - one thing working with models has taught me is to be very cautious about how much faith I put in them. Again, James Gleick's excellent book (from the 80s) changed the way I viewed most everything. I need to read that book again. The first time I read it, I read one chapter at a time - and then let my mind work on it for awhile before going on to the next chapter. If I read it again now, it would be a much easier read. I read it a long time ago, but what I remember is that it showed me why chaotic systems would always be frustrating to predict.
