| I feel the same way about him.
It was interesting - I had to take my wife to the ER the other day. (Turned out nothing serious.). I got to visiting with the ER doctor about various things, like how an ER doctor probably has different brain hard-wiring than a standard practice doctor. The subjects went toward the virus, shaking hands, face masks, etc. I sensed the doctor wasn't enthusiastic about some of the things that were happening, so I asked if he thought that maybe Sweden got things pretty much right. He seemed to agree, but I didn't pursue it, as I thought it might be an uncomfortable subject for him.
But, yes, it has been an eye-opener for me to see the near-total ignorance of what computer models can and can't do - or rather, shouldn't be used to do. In the field "that can't be named" - this is true even among PhD scientists. And those who do know can - and will - do everything in their power to muddy the water. | |
