If you get one that hurts very bad, there is a product called Debactoral that cauterizes them. When I worked as a dental assistant, we would apply this in the office; I’m not sure if you could purchase from a dentist to have at home, but you could ask. The application hurts pretty bad, but it only takes 15 seconds, I believe, and then the pain is pretty much gone.

Dentist will not give it to me for home application and I'm not going to run to the dentist office every time I get one. That is what led to me to the silver nitrate which also cauterizes them and worked great - for awhile.

Did you ever use a laser for treatment? I have read of it and would like to try it, but my dentist doesn't have it.
