I would hazard a guess that it would help because a low carb diet is a low inflammation diet. Here is the thing. Try it for two weeks. I knew within the first week my pain was less. It is not like spending ten thousand dollars on a therapy or waiting in a doctors office for multiple visits. Two weeks of not eating some things. That is all it takes to find out. If he feels better, keep at the changed diet. If he does not feel better, what was lost? His sweet tooth for a couple weeks? That is the way I look at it. John
