Oregon | Don’t know anything about millet or really rye for that matter...About this time of year in 2018, we put in 60 lbs winter trit and 5 lbs each of turnips and radishes. Grazed that winter and took the trit for hay in the spring. I would think winter rye would do the same.
Here’s some pictures.
1) fall grazing end of October
2) winter grazing the turnips around thanksgiving
3) spring hay crop around Memorial Day
Did go in mid April with 16 oz generic 24d to knock back volunteer brassicas and put on 32 at the same time
