Subject: RE: Flathead Ford V8 stuck

Texas

Iowajim - 7/12/2020 19:52 I got lucky once adapting a hydraulic hose to a spark plug hole and putting the pressure to it with the low pressure hydraulics from an old tractor. It spun the engine a half revolution so fast all of the hagens brew blew out of the other spark plug holes And sprayed the shop wall. This was an engine I really didn’t care if I hurt or not. I would be cautious about using this method on an engine I wanted to save.

I'm not sure I would want to put hydraulic pressure on a stuck engine.  The grease works well because it pumps in slowly and eases the pistons a pinch at a time.  No explosion that way!

With each pump of the grease gun you control how much additional displacement is created.

Please, someone try this........   I'm feeling all alone in explaining how easy and safe it is to free up a stuck engine.  LOL  (And please report back!
