Subject: Driving a Vehicle in Extreme Heat

Northern Illinois
Is there such a thing as being to hot to drive a vehicle? Not meaning if the AC works but if the vehicle mechanically handle the heat. I know in northern Illinois we make sure our vehicles are winterized. Do hot weather places summerize their vehicles?

I potentially need to make a quick trip to Phoenix. The daytime highs have been 115* +. I would be driving a 10 year old vehicle with 200,000 miles. Is there a concern other than normal issues that would occur with a 200,000 mile vehicle?
