First off, I know nothing about growing canola. I've read about it being grown in southern IL. I'm located about 20 miles south of Springfield. If it would make a crop here it seems like it could be a nice alternative to wheat. How does it compare cost wise to grow compared to wheat. Any market to take it? What kind of soils are best for it? Thanks
