McCanna, ND | Canola loves N, put on as much as you can afford. I grew it last year and strip tilled the fertilizer which seemed to work good. If I raise canola in the future I’ll be using strip till for my fertilizer again. I put down 125-150lbs of actual N. Canola doesn’t do well with heat so the earlier it can be planted the better, downside is that when it’s small it won’t take frost either. 22” rows are as wide as I would seed it if you are using a planter. | |
