Pierce county WI
3.3 carryout comes with projected ending stocks and trend yields. The 5 bu off last year takes us down to 2.8. Now, let's just say we don't make trend. Take 5 bu off 2020 crop, there goes another half a billion. Now what if we take 4 million acres off? There goes another 700 million. I don't think trend was ever in play, just from the economics. We're years into declining prices. I say the law of diminishing returns kicks in. As noted by the thread saying he doesn't want to feed his crop anymore. Guys aren't swinging for the fences like they were across every acre like it is 2012. Nass lower production already half a bushel. Last year they lowered production. Why not more?
