Sometimes it just takes a while for your feet/knees/hips/back to get used to standing on concrete for hours at a time. When I worked in manufacturing, I always wore 8" leather work boots w/steel toes, some have better support for your arches and I could feel it right away. Too tight a shoe will also cause problems.
