Madison Co. Virginia | Another point -- For complete confinement-based meat, milk, and egg production, it's difficult to argue against the fake substitutes. Fake meat is simply substituting one factory for another. Either one is simply bringing in nutrient dense forage, and sending out waste material and salable product. Consumers would rather not see any sentient creatures utilized inside that factory, so why not simply remove them?
Grazing-based meat, milk, and egg production has a much better argument against the factory-based fake substitutes. Graziers can more easily prove the "realness" of their product, and I think this will be key to maintaining market share in the future. | |
