NW Iowa
If you have a good grove or protection ( round bales as a wind break). It actually works quite well. We get alot of NE storms and cold south (warm up) winds in the winter. I have 2 sheds that direction, they get sun on them and the wind rarely bothers them. If you have zero protection the snow will eddy in the corner. Sheds that are tight with one opening usually create a bubble, that the air doesn't come in.

The long shed in the picture has a 24' long and 14' tall opening in the south end facing west. Never get anything hardly in it, but i have some stuff helping block it.
South winter winter winds suck here.
