Subject: Cattle shed open to the west ... bad idea ?

Renwick Iowa
Have a slab of concrete I would like to utilize at my grandmas ... was originally just gonna build a shed over top of the cement and have it open to the south ... now I’m thinking to make it bigger I could build a shed. And use the slab of concrete as an outside lot ... how dumb of idea is that to have a shed open to the west ? Would probably have feedee calves in it November thru March ... them probably pairs in it from March till turnout in June ... not sure if there will be anything in it late summer and fall ... just wanted to see everyone’s opinions ... can’t go north of the slab because of the machine shed and can’t go west cause of the garage ..
