Subject: RE: Gasoline engine in a combine

Central Mo
Dad had a 7700 gas he bought used. PIA, always points, distributor cap, rotor, wires, did I say moisture/condensation. Overhauled twice, on the third time he ran it till, well, you werent going to overhaul that one. Replaced with a 4630 diesel engine, bolted right up, only ran a return fuel line. That made it a combine then.
It was hard running that gas in a wheat field. At night there was a pretty 18 inch flame coming from the exhaust.
