I have one 1 acre pond that is dedicated to redear and small mouth bass. I also have redear in my 3 acre pond that is in my back yard but those buggers are hard to catch. It is hard to fish for them because the hungry bluegill get to the hook before the redear have a chance. I used to have them in my 1/20th acre forage pond and there I could catch them because they were the only fish in the pond besides fathead minnows. I used that pond to raise redear fingerlings to stock my other ponds. I have 5 ponds on the place within a quarter mile of my house. The main 3 acre pond is my back yard, 1/10th acre sediment pond that filters water before it enters the main pond, 1/20th acre forage pond, 1 acre readear sunfish small mouth bass pond and finally the old refurbished one acre pond that is kind of my trash fish pond that has a mix of everything. I kind of like ponds. John
