East Central South Dakota | Just got back from posting road closed signs. Talked to county road supervisor 30 minutes ago on a road they were pumping to try to save a county road. Gave up pumping this morning. This water is coming from some where and no one can figure it out. Under ground water movement is very hard to model with formula's because of all the variables. I just think it is a possibility just using anecdotal evidence. The real deep depressions just never dry out any more---even in drought years. I enjoy the pictures on NAT, but I agree with you --the ones of green trees, grass and farming really get you down when you look at brown and wet. Guys feeding cows here are destroying ground. Feed wagon falls through the third time over a spot so you pick a new spot---running out of spots. Are you in Sully Buttes school district---I have heard stories about the rich farmers over that way.
