Custer County, Nebraska | What we need is a way to utilize ethanol in agriculture. If we could blend a percentage of ethanol into our farm diesel needs, I would like to see a farm program where farm payments are tied to the percentage ethanol used by each farm
Say each farm has a base payment. You can add to that payment by utilizing a certain level of ethanol. Make it progressive 1% gets you $X, 5% gets you $Y, 10% gets you $Z.
That is my basic idea. It hinges completely upon the ability to safely use ethanol for farm use.
