I think it needs something like 1,000 degrees to kill the prion. Are you talking marketed animal feed? I don't feed the deer. They eat our corn, beans, hay, trees, sticks and weeds. They relieve themselves all over the fields, depositing prions everywhere, to be taken up in crops I assume as well. Right now I'm not worried about it. May change my mind someday.
