Mid Michigan | The deer around here taste as good or better than beef. They eat better than cows. They have a better balanced diet than the people. Deer around here eat corn, soybeans, grass, alfalfa, oats, wheat, gardens, trees, etc. No I wouldn't eat one that had cwd but we're not currently having a problem with that. You guys might have a lot of pine trees. I noticed when we hunted in upper michigan the deer had a horrible diet and the meat was very wild and terrible tasting. Not the case here and everybody eats venison around here. We have a lot of deer. | |
