The deer around here taste as good or better than beef. They eat better than cows. They have a better balanced diet than the people. Deer around here eat corn, soybeans, grass, alfalfa, oats, wheat, gardens, trees, etc. No I wouldn't eat one that had cwd but we're not currently having a problem with that. You guys might have a lot of pine trees. I noticed when we hunted in upper michigan the deer had a horrible diet and the meat was very wild and terrible tasting. Not the case here and everybody eats venison around here. We have a lot of deer.


You must be trying some pretty poor beef. No way venison is better than farm raised beef. If it wasn’t to try to do my part to eradicate them vermon not sure I’d still hunt.
