If you need to haul feed on a regular basis, it is not a pasture, it is a yard. Pasture is green grass that the cow eats on her own. If you are feeding you need a proper yard, and in my climate that means concrete, and likely a roof to manage runoff. We can be wet and not froze from late Oct til early May, or we can have 4 feet of snow. Just can't do that on a dirt lot here.
