I'm still convinced that the best skid steer setup for a livestock farm is a wheeled machine on Michelin bibsteel tires and a set of steel over the tire tracks for when a track machine is needed.

Maybe. I read somewhere that a guy had mud come through the tracks and causes many issues. I also heard from a dealer that a guy had a set of those on and one tire was flat and didn't know it and tore the drive chain up because one tire wanted to spin faster than the other and couldn't. Any idea what a set costs for 10-16.5 tires?

Get a tracked Cat. You won’t be disappointed. Yes you have to worry about freezing but with snow I have never had a problem. If running in a bunch of mud just clean them out some what if it will freeze that night. It’s pretty wild when you can drive into a couple feet of water and push in posts.
